From September 2023 to September 2024, I had the honor of being part of The Neverland as the Creative Media Lead and a core team member, where I took charge of overseeing photography and visual design for the blog, social media, and community campaigns. This experience not only sharpened my creative skills but also provided me with the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause.
With a focus on youth engagement, I was tasked with crafting visual narratives that resonated deeply with an audience of over 1,000 readers and followers. My role involved producing high-quality imagery and designs for blog articles, social media posts, and special campaigns. I worked closely with the team to ensure every visual element captured the essence of the message we aimed to convey—whether it was about mental wellness, healing, or self-growth.
One of the most fulfilling aspects of my work was writing and editing blog posts on themes of emotional well-being and personal growth. I contributed to 5–6 published features, each one designed to spark meaningful discussions and foster connection among young people. These posts, rich in reflection and insight, garnered strong engagement from readers, who found solace and inspiration in the words we shared.
I also had the privilege of leading visual storytelling for impactful initiatives like Letters to Myself and The Love Box. These campaigns were created to provide safe spaces for emotional expression, allowing youth to reflect on their experiences and connect with their inner selves. As a designer, my responsibility was to create a cohesive visual identity that supported the message of each campaign, ensuring that the visuals aligned with the emotional tone and promoted a sense of belonging and support.
In addition to my creative work, I also produced photography and video content for various charity and cultural events. One of the highlights was supporting the Ba Ria–Vung Tau Children’s Shelter, where I captured the moments that showcased the power of art and volunteerism in uplifting over 100 children. Through these events, I witnessed firsthand the transformative effect that creativity and kindness can have on young lives, and I felt deeply fulfilled knowing that my work contributed to this positive change.
Looking back, my time at The Neverland was a deeply rewarding experience. It allowed me to merge my passion for creative media with my desire to make a tangible difference in the community. Through photography, design, and storytelling, I was able to help amplify voices, promote mental wellness, and encourage emotional growth—leaving an indelible mark on both myself and the youth we served.
